Dr. A's Trickbag
Grant Trick Bag 16 June. Resources and Faith Based Grants.
The role of faith-based organizations as both grantees and grantors has changed significantly in the last 8 years. Most of us can remember when the whole field of faith-based action was off limits in federal programs Two sites to see this new aspect of funding are www.whitehouse.gov.Look for the Office of Faithbased and Neighborhood Partnerships. and the US Department of Labor Site. On that site, search for Grants for Small Faith-based and Community Grants for Non-Profit Organizations.
The Lexington Library has a number of hard-copy source books on grants from various faith-based sources. These can have some surpisingly valuable information.
Two very interesting web sources for faith-based and other grant opportunities are at www.grantwatch.com and www.theCNE.org. The latter is the Center for Non-Profit Excellence.
I got this posted a bit late. It has been a really hectic week.
