AmeriCorps KY Food Force is a collaborative workforce development program between The Plantory and Foodchain that offers 300-hour minimum time service terms to underemployed and unemployed individuals in the community.

 

 

The program includes the Workforce Development program and AmeriCorps KY service. The Workforce Development program provides eight weeks of soft skill development, job skills training, and other added benefits including job placement. During their 300-hour AmeriCorps KY service term, members will collaborate with and serve food-focused organizations throughout Lexington, Kentucky. 

 

GleanKY is one of our partner organization that our members will serve. They will participate in the process of gleaning, processing, and delivering food to local food banks and neighborhood ambassadors.

 

Members will receive a bi-weekly living stipend, an education award upon completion of hours, and job placement!
